By accessing or using 25experts.com ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Platform Purpose

25experts.com is an AI literacy education platform operated by Aesop Academy. It connects learners with independent expert educators ("Experts") who publish content, host live workshops, and offer patron subscriptions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Platform. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and Memberships

• Free membership allows you to follow up to 5 Experts and access content and workshop replays older than 30 days.
• Patron subscriptions are billed monthly per Expert at the rate in effect at the time of subscription.
• Founding Patron rates are locked for subscribers who claim them during the founding period, subject to continuous active subscription.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.

4. Payments and Cancellations

Subscriptions are processed through Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Aesop Academy does not offer refunds for partial billing periods except where required by applicable law. Revenue is split between Aesop Academy and the Expert per the published creator revenue-share schedule.

5. Content Ownership

Experts retain ownership of their content. By publishing on the Platform, Experts grant Aesop Academy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute content to patrons and free followers as configured by the Expert. Learners may not reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit Expert content without written permission from the Expert.

6. Prohibited Conduct

• Do not post content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or discriminatory.
• Do not attempt to circumvent access controls, scrape the Platform, or reverse-engineer its systems.
• Do not impersonate an Expert, Aesop Academy staff, or another user.
• Do not use the Platform to promote or distribute spam, malware, or deceptive content.

7. Termination

Aesop Academy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Experts may be removed from the Expert Program if they fail to meet program standards as described in the Expert Program guidelines.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes are subject to binding arbitration under AAA Commercial Arbitration Rules, with the exception of claims eligible for small claims court.

Privacy Notice

Aesop Academy ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This notice explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register.
• Payment data: Stripe processes all payment transactions. We do not store card numbers or bank details.
• Usage data: pages visited, content consumed, workshop attendance, device type, and IP address — collected via standard server logs and analytics.
• Communications: messages you send to Experts or to our support team.
• Expert application data: information submitted via the Expert Program application form.

How We Use It

• To operate and improve the Platform.
• To process patron subscriptions and disburse creator payments.
• To communicate platform updates, receipts, and program announcements.
• To evaluate Expert Program applications.
• To comply with legal obligations.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Platform (hosting, payments, email delivery) and as required by law. Aggregated, de-identified data may be used for research in support of Aesop Academy's educational mission.

Retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, use the contact form below and select Privacy Request. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management and optional analytics cookies. You can opt out of analytics cookies at any time via the cookie settings banner.

Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data without parental consent, contact us immediately.

Our Commitment

• We design the Platform with sufficient color contrast, keyboard navigability, and screen-reader compatibility.
• All images and non-text content include descriptive alternative text.
• Video content will include closed captions and transcripts where technically feasible.
• We test with assistive technologies including screen readers and keyboard-only navigation during development.

Known Limitations

As the Platform is currently in development, some pages or features may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to close these gaps before public launch.

Third-Party Content

Some content on the Platform is provided by independent Expert creators. While we encourage Experts to produce accessible content, we cannot guarantee that all third-party materials meet accessibility standards.

Reporting an Issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on 25experts.com, please use the contact form below and select Accessibility Concern. We aim to respond within 5 business days and address substantive issues within 30 days where possible.

Formal Complaint

If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility concern, you may file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice Civil Rights Division or, for EU residents, with your local data protection authority.

Aesop Academy is an education-focused tax-exempt organization. Platform fees and patron subscriptions support the mission of accessible AI literacy education and are not tax-deductible donations unless explicitly designated as such.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aesop Academy's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed the amounts you paid to Aesop Academy in the twelve months preceding the claim. Aesop Academy is not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages.
